I'm grateful that all the exercising is giving me enough life back to be noticeable to people (and that they say I look good, which never hurts).
And that our normal priest's brother came out from halfway across the country to sub for us today, and that he talked a lot about gratitude, which allowed me to have one of those "ha, see, all my random stuff pulls together" feelings.

I'm grateful fooorrrrrrr, hmmm.  I live in a house, and it's pretty nice.  And while there are things I want to do to it and can't right now, there are lots of things that DON'T need done to it.  It's pretty good the way it is.

I am grateful for, and still somewhat dumbfounded by, Steampunk Off the Rack.

To wit:

From Lane Bryant.  Expedition-ready with a different blouse underneath.  (The color is a bit richer than it looks - camera photo in a dressing room, we take what we get.)  And:

I mean, do you see this?  All wrinkly and with brass buttons and all?  And FLATS?  (I despise heels.)  DSW, these.

There, materialistic again today.  But I just had the crazy shopping luck, and I couldn't help myself.

Oh oh!  Almost forgot.  :D

I'm grateful for the Steampunk Home blog, which has provided me with hours of amusement today.  An an urge to go to Home Depot.

I hear it was hot lots of other places when it was staying cool here, and that now a lot of you are finally getting cooler.  And, ta-da, it's hot here.  XD

I am grateful that we have air conditioning.  I love you, air conditioning.

I'm grateful to be back in my skinny capris today.

...I mean, it's not pretty, but I can wear them.

Enjoy my materialism:

The color of Borghese Piccola Tulip nail polish is awesome.

Also, not to harp on the circuit training, I got through more pushups from my toes (as opposed to knees) than I expected to.

Today I am grateful for the Book of Common Prayer, which allows so many unexpected circumstances to be easily incorporated into any ritual event.  (Oops, no priest today.  Okay, uh...turn to page 90, everyone!)

Also, for the realization I had as a ritual guest elsewhere, which was that the real difference between high ritual and high camp really is one of mindset.  I couldn't love leading it even though I so often love participating in it, because I don't believe me.

I'm grateful that I'm experienced enough to know what a crap time Friday night is to post a new fanfic, so that when I choose Friday night to post it anyway like an idiot, the lack of response over the weekend doesn't automatically make me think that Everyone Hates It Gah.

(It would, of course, be better still to have the patience not to post them on weekends, but what can one do?)

I am grateful for Wikipedia, for being a place where I can look up explanations of movies whose plots are otherwise opaque to me.

I am grateful that [livejournal.com profile] twist_shimmy is back online, and that something from today's circuit seems to have helped my back.

I am grateful for IcyHot.  Oh yes.  Particularly in patch form.

I'm grateful for 124/74.  Helloooooo normal blood pressure!

And for surviving the first day of the new circuit despite how WEIRD some of it is.

I am grateful for Black Market Bakery, who are going to make me a cake that will actually taste like cake, and also for Tripod Kitteh, for being so cute and awesome that no one else can have any awesomesauce because it's all used up.

I am grateful that my darling [livejournal.com profile] twist_shimmy is going to be offline for the next several days - YES, GRATEFUL I SAY *sniff* - because it will really force me to focus on completing several half-done bits of writing.

I am grateful for days when there is nothing in particular I have to do, especially when I'm still getting over sick and my back is thrown out.

I am grateful that[livejournal.com profile] selyndria is not as frightened of planning my birthday as I am.  Everything is reasonably on course.  >>

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I'm grateful to have arrived into the world with pretty much all the standard physical and mental components correctly installed.  Some of the alternatives are NOT pretty.

I am grateful that Flame served as my backbone today.  Circuit + bronchial muck = 3 unscheduled breaks for gasping, and I almost didn't come back after the last one, but Flame cheered me on, and I got through.  Good boy.  :D

Also, Prop 8 is unconstitutional.  Surprise, surprise.  What I didn't realize until a local equality org updated me was that the State of California did not participate in defending it in court.  I am pleased and gratified by this.

I'm grateful for decent looseleaf decaf tea, since I now have to reserve caffeine for special occasions only.  Right now, for example, I'm drinking a very passable decaf Earl Grey.  Nom.

(Tea slows down the breakdown of collagen in the skin, you know.  'Swhy I'm still so hot.)
